“We had a friendly meeting with the manager and we agreed that leaving the team is the best solution,” Mozambique FA general secretary Filipe Johane said.
“The assessment of his performance was not good. He doesn’t leave for failing to qualify for the World Cup, but because the team have shown no progress since he took over in 2012.”
