Egypt wing-back Ahmed Elmohamady featured for just the first half of Hull City's thumping 4-1 English Premier League defeat at Southampton.

First-half goals from Morgan Schneiderlin, Rickie Lambert (penalty) and a terrific effort from Adam Lallana gave the hosts a three-goal lead.

Even though Hull managed to pull one back after the break through Ivorian hitman Yannick Sagbo, Steven Davis made sure the Tigers had no chance of a comeback with the Saints' fourth two minutes from the end.

Egypt forward Geddo remained confined to the bench throughout the game as he is still struggling to make his Hull Premier League bow.

Hull slip to 11th spot of the league table on 14 points as they meet Crystal Palace in a fortnight.
