Ahli are willing to retrieve the services of striker Ahmed Abdul-Zaher after his season-long loan at Ittihad Tripoli ends.

After flashing the four-finger 'Rabaa' sign in the CAF Champions League final last season, Abdul-Zaher has been handed a one-year ban from playing in Egypt.

Still on a three-and-a-half-year contract, the Egypt international has consequently been loaned out Ittihad of Libya until the end of the season.

With many doubting whether he has a future in Egypt or not, Ahli have confirmed that the 29-year-old is poised to return.

"There is nothing that prevents Abdul-Zaher's return after his loan in Libya finishes," Ahli football committee head Hadi Khashaba told FilGoal.com.

"He served his ban and was committed to the club's decision and if the manager wants him back, he will return."
