"Henrik is a very sentimental sort of person and although he is very happy at Barcelona he will go back to Sweden if he feels he has nothing to offer here," Larsson's agent Rob Jansen said.
The Swedish striker is considering his future at the Nou Camp after being used as a back-up to in-form striker Samuel Eto'o.
Larsson failed to hit his top form since arriving at Barcelona in June 2004 as his season was plagued by a knee injury.
After sustaining the injury, the former Celtic striker has been awarded a contract extension by Barcelona president Joan Laporta.
Jansen stated that his client is not prepared to discuss a new deal at the present although his contract expires at the end of the season.
"We aren't waiting for Barcelona to sit down and talk, far from it. We are quite relaxed about it and when the time comes to talk we will talk," he said.
