Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard said he was content with his team’s 2-0 victory over Celta Vigo in the Primera Liga on Tuesday, despite the unspectacular performance.

"We finished the year with three important and useful points even though we didn't have a great game," Rijkaard told a press conference after the game.

The Dutchman said that Celta gave his side a hard time throughout the match.

"Celta were very well prepared. They played in a very organized fashion, winning back the ball, playing fast, first-touch football. They're very dangerous on the break," he said.

Eto’o struck either side of half-time as Barcelona sunk Celta and extended their lead atop the Liga table.

Rijkaard was particularly delighted with his team’s first goal that saw Ronaldinho and Eto’o combine for a spectacular play.

"Eto'o and Ronnie invented a goal. They were very smart. They reacted very well at an important moment. The goal helped us get the win," said the former Holland boss.

Rijkaard singled out Eto’o with praise after the Cameroon international scored the winning goals for the Nou Campers.

"Once again he scored two very important goals for us. He appears at the right moment with his instinct and his pace,” Rijkaard said.
