Main opponents Inter, who lost their talented striker Adriano due to injury during today's action and Milan, beat Empoli and Livorno respectively to keep Juve in sight.
The victory raised Juventus point tally to 46 points, eight ahead of second-place Inter while Milan remained third with 37.
In the Stadio Delle Alpi, Juventus scored a goal per half through Fabio Cannavaro and David Trezeguet efforts.
Veteran defender Cannavaro headed home a 12th minute Mauro Camoranesi's corner-kick for the opener before the in-form Trezeguet volleyed the second goal into the back of the net in the 53rd minute.
In San Siro, Inter Milan produced a 4-1 drubbing of Empoli in an exciting home display.
Adriano broke the deadlock as early as the third minute when he controlled a loose ball inside the area, rounded the Empoli keeper and slotted into the unguarded net.
Just ten minutes later, Adriano fell unconscious and was forced to leave the pitch straight to the hospital.
Substitute Julio Cruz put Inter two up just before the break as he fired a delicate drive home after being fed by Juan Veron's low cross.
Powerful shots from Portuguese midfielder Luis Figo and Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins doubled the lead in the 67th and 85th minutes respectively while Ighli Vannucchi notched the consolation goal for Empoli four minutes past the hour mark.
Elsewhere, Alberto Gilardino scored twice and Andriy Shevchenko added a third as Milan crushed Livorno 3-0.
Gilardino opened the score line in the 23rd minute after a deft through pass from Kaka and made it two on the hour mark with a first-time low drive.
Shevchenko added the icing to the cake 11 minutes later when he connected with Andrea Pirlo's free-kick to thread the ball home.
