Inter coach Roberto Mancini said on Thursday that he considers to sign new players during the transfer window to cover the absence of the players participating in the African Cup of Nations.

The Italian Cup holders will miss Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins and Cameroonian defender Pierre Wome through out January when the tournament takes place in Egypt.

"When we come back from holidays, we will see what we could do to replace Martins' and Wome's absence, after their departure for the African Cup of Nations," Mancini was quoted as saying by SkySports.com.

Martins is Inter's third top scorer with five goals while Wome featured 11 times in all competitions for Mancini's side since signing in the summer.

"Our group will decrease and in January, there will be many matches. Let's hope everything will go positively," the Italian boss added.

Inter are second in the Serie A with 38 points, eight behind leaders and holders Juventus.
