Zamalek are reportedly looking for a new foreign coach to lead the team for the rest of the season instead of reinstating coach Farouk Gaafar, who was sacked last week.

Egyptian minister of youth and sports Mamdouh El-Beltagi had decided to dissolve the former Zamalek board, led by former chairman Mourtada Mansour and to appoint Moursi Attalla as new club president last Wednesday for a one-year period.

Meanwhile, new Zamalek board member Mamdouh Abbass opened talks with former Portuguese club boss Eduardo Vingada to return to his old coaching job at the club, after the latter insisted that all the reasons that prevented him from returning to Egypt were eliminated.

Also, board member Essam Baheeg announced that he planned to show the club board a famous Brazilian coach’s resume for studying as an option to Vingada.
