Brazilian ace Chiko opened the score for Ittihad in the 16th minute before Osama Al-Muwalad, Hamza Idriss and Ibrahim Al-Suwaiad secured their side’s victory with goals in the 49th, 87th and 90th minute.
Ittihad, who climbed to eight place in the Saudi league standings with a tally of 10 points, still have eight postponed matches to play.
Elsewhere, Hilal thumped Abha club 5-0 also in the same round thanks to efforts by Gilson, who netted a brace, Mohamed Shalhoub, Yasser Al-Qahtani and Marcello Camatcho.
Hilal clinched back the lead with a tally of 26 points in the league charts.
Meanwhile, Al-Shabab held Al-Hezm to a goalless draw and lost two points to drop to second-place in the league standings with 25 points, while Hezm climbed to seventh place with 11 points.
