Frederic Mendy opened the score for Senegal in the second minute of the match before Hassan Mostafa levelled for Egypt twelve minutes later and Emad Motab doubled the lead with a 22nd minute goal.
Senegal equalized five minutes after the break thanks to a Mamadou Luneh goal before Amr Zaki fired home in the 86th minute. Egypt secured their victory with their fourth goal from a Senegal own-goal in the dying minutes of the match.
The Pharaohs won $50,000 for clinching the title, second-place Senegal received $30,000 while Uganda won $20,000 after coming in third place.

Motab gave Egypt the lead with an amazing header from a Mohamed Abdel-Wahab cross in the 22nd minute before Senegal equalized in the 50th minute with a Mamadou low-shot that went straight into the Egyptian net.
Zaki put Egypt upfront once again when he fired home his third goal in two games in the 86th minutes before a Senegalese defender Mamadou Camara intercepted a Amr Zaki cross to net the ball into his own side to secure Egypt’s victory.
