Teenager John Obi Mikel was included in a 23-man squad named by Nigeria coach Augustine Eguavoen for the African Cup of Nations in Egypt later this month.

Mikel’s abilities had triggered a bidding war between English sides Manchester United and Chelsea to acquire his services.
