The African Cup of Nations LOC announced on Wednesday that changes will be made for the opening ceremony after president Hosni Mubarak was confirmed to attend.

A press conference will be held on Thursday to reveal the final preparations for organizing the opening ceremony and the number of personnel and guests allowed in the tribune, LOC official spokesman Viken Djizmedjian told Filgoal.com.

Djizmedjian said that CAF officials attending the opening ceremony will arrive in special buses instead of their personal means of transportation.

The LOC had announced that the Cairo International Stadium, which will host the ceremony and opening match between Egypt and Libya, will close it doors at 4pm on Friday, one hour ahead of the president’s arrival.

The opening gala will run for 45 minutes while the match will kick-off at 7pm (CLT).
