Ismailia-Yasser Al-Sherif: Ismaili striker Mohamed Mohsen Abou-Greisha turned down an offer to join Tunisian giants Club Africain, the player said.

Africain are looking to replace Malian striker Dramane Traore who completed a move to a Russian club.

Abou-Greisha said that financial issues were not the reason for turning down the Tunisian offer.

“I want to stay and help Ismaili in the upcoming period,” Abou-Greisha told Filgoal.com on Thursday. “Money had nothing to do with me turning down the offer.”

The 25-year-old striker, however, did not rule out an Ismaili exit at the end of the season.

Abou-Greisha said there was a German offer lined-up for him by his agent at the end of the season.

The player, who comes from a long-line of Ismaili players, refused to reveal the name of the interested club but said he was set to undergo a medical before joining the club in August.

Abou-Greisha had signed a three-year contract extension with Ismaili at the start of this season.
