Former world champion Michael Schumacher said on Sunday that he will not quit at the end of this season.

"Formula 1 drivers are not like football players that must quit by the end of 30's and as example French Alain Prost won his 4th title when he was 40," the Ferrari driver told German magazine Focus.

"My contract ends by the end of season and I think i'll stay with Ferrari for the coming years," the German added.

Schumi insisted that the Prancing Horse team’s main target for the new season is winning the Driver's and Constructor's championship that they lost last season to Renault and Spanish driver Fernando Alonso.

The new season begins in Bahrain next March.
