“We qualified for the World Cup finals for the very first time and we hold the record for the most number of African Cup titles,” the Serbian coach told Filgoal.com exclusively on Sunday.
Ghana were drawn to a tough group that includes Nigeria, Senegal and Zimbabwe.
“We will reach this tournament’s final to prove our worthiness of our World Cup qualification,” said Dujkovic.
Ghana received a huge blow just days ahead of the tournament when Chelsea’s Essien and Udinese’s Muntari were forced out of the squad with injuries.
“The squad contains a list of strong players who can compensate the absence of (Essien and Muntari), especially with the return of Fenerbahce’s Stephen Appiah from Turkey on Sunday after participating in a league match there last Friday,” said Dujkovic.
Ghana kick-off their African campaign against Nigeria on Monday.
