Zimbabwe coach Charles Mhlauri insisted that his team wont be easy competition in their African Cup of Nations (ACN) campaign and said that the team included several key players who were capable of leading their country to victory.

“Our performance will differ from how it was against Egypt in the LG friendly tournament prior to the Cup especially with the presence of the experienced pair Peter Ndlovuk and recently Portsmouth-signed Benjamin Mwaruwari,” Mhlauri told FilGoal.com exclusively on Sunday.

Zimbabwe, who suffered a 2-0 defeat to Egypt in a warm-up match earlier this month, were drawn to a strong group alongside Senegal, Ghana and Nigeria.

“Our team will be fearless against its tough group members since we have nothing to lose,” said Mhlauri.

Mhlauri added that several international players are available and nine players remaining from the squad that participated in the last African Cup in Tunisia will be of great support to the team.

The Zimbabwe boss warned that his team were capable of surprising everyone, particularly with the favourable conditions in Port Said that are suitable for the players.

The Warriors play their opening Group D match against Senegal on Monday.
