Ismaili’s appointed board of directors chose to set the date for the new elections early in order to help the different sports departments to begin their preparations for the next season.
The appointed board, headed by Abdul-Monem Emara, was set to stay in office until December 2006.
Ismailia governor Sabri Al-Adawi had appointed a new board for Ismaili after the former administration resigned late last year.
