Morocco midfielder Youssef Chippo announced that he will quit his international career after his side’s African Cup of Nations (ACN) campaign comes to an end.

"The on-going Nations Cup in is my last for Morocco and that is why I want us to go far in the tournament," the 33-year old told BBC Sport on Tuesday.

"I've done my best for Morocco and it's time for me to say a final goodbye," he added.

The Qatar-based midfielder, who plays for Al-Sadd club, made 79 caps with Morocco going into Tuesday’s match against Egypt in his fourth appearance in the African Cup.

Chippo was left out from the Morocco squad for two years, missing the last African Cup of Nations in Tunisia, after a fallout with former head coach Badou Zaki and was recalled to the national team by new coach Mohammed Fakhir.
