"The Libyan Football Federation is found guilty of failing to control their supporters under the articles 77 and 140 of the CAF Disciplinary Code," read an official statement issued by CAF.
"The Libyan Football Federation is ordered to pay a fine of $10,000 and the payment is to be made before the next match of the Libyan national team on January 28th.
"In this regard, the President of the Libyan Football Federation authorized CAF to debit the amount from their account."
Libyan fans ripped out the chairs of the Cairo Stadium before pelting the Egyptian crowd and the security official with them following their 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast on Tuesday.
CAF officials have conducted further investigations, viewed the security recordings and visited the damaged zone before evaluating the damage and making a decision.
According to the statement, Libya still can appeal the decision.
