Shehata cancels training to watch Cameroon and DR Congo match

Egypt boss Hassan Shehata canceled the team’s night training on Sunday to watch Cameroon’s match against DR Congo in the African Cup of Nations (ACN) Group B final round.

Shehata also refused the players’ request for a eight-hour break and insisted that their families came to them in the camp before watching the highly-anticipated match that will see the winners face Egypt in the quarter-finals.

The Pharaohs, who will play against Group B’s second-place team, qualified to the African Cup qualifiers after defeating Ivory Coast 3-1 in their Group A final-round match that took place on Saturday.
