Nigeria skipper Jay-Jay Okocha is poised to face Tunisia in the African Cup of Nations (ACN) quarter-final on Saturday after recovering from a thigh injury, coach Austin Eguavoen said.

"I'm happy that Jay-Jay is now fit to play and he is going to be part of my team that will face Tunisia," Eguavoen told BBC Sport on Thursday.

"I should have included him in my team against Senegal but I decided to leave him out in order for him to have enough rest for our game against Tunisia," he added.

Bolton Wanderers captain missed Nigeria's first round games in the ACN after sustaining a thigh injury before the tournament kick-off.

Okocha announced that he will retire from international football after the African Cup in Egypt.

The two-time African champions advanced to the ACN quarter-finals after finishing on top of Group D, which included Senegal, Ghana and Zimbabwe.
