“I’m absolutely confident that my players can overcome Egypt and reach the final match,” Sarr told Filgoal.com on Saturday.
The Senegalese delegation arrived in Cairo coming from Ismailia and will begin training on Sunday evening.
“We prepared mentally to face the Egyptian crowd that will be bolstering the stadium,” Sarr said.
“Once the first few minutes are over, my players will play their usual game,” he said. “They are all professionals who are used to playing such critical games.”
Sarr commented on the Egyptian team, saying: “They have some marvelous players and play like a true team due to the understanding and harmony between all the players who mostly come from Ahli club.”
The Senegal coach insisted his team is always motivated to do well against stronger sides, which will be the case against Egypt, he claimed.
Senegal beat Guinea 3-2 in Friday to book their place in the final four.
