Ahmad Saied & Ahmed Maher : Senegalese Minister of Sport El Hadj Daouda Faye praised on Monday Egypt’s organization of the African Cup of Nations and said the Egyptian have been very friendly to his team since arriving last month.

“The Egyptians have been up to the challenge and their organizing committee proved that they can host any big event,” Faye told FilGoal.com.

He also said that Egyptians always gave his side warm welcomes in all the cities he has been to since arriving in Ismailia then in Alexandria and now in Cairo.

Faye refused to talk about the Senegalese team or their chances against Egypt in the semi-finals on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Senegal forward Rahmane Barry said that his side's hard-fought qualification to the knock-out stage doesn't mean they will be the underdogs against Egypt.

"Yes, we have advanced to the quarter-finals with just three points but we are now in the semis and forgot about the past,” he told reporters.

Barry stressed that Egypt’s game will be a really tough one for his team but refused to single out any Egyptian player as the most dangerous.

“Playing before huge crowd of around 80,000 will be really difficult but we are now in the last four and looking forward to lift the trophy.

“There is no specific player we are afraid to face. Football is about team work and we will deal with every Egyptian player in the same serious way.”
