Will Egypt win again?

Egyptian midfielder Ahmed Hassan said he is keen on a move to the English Premiership next season and revealed his desire to captain Egypt in the 2010 World Cup.

"Playing in the Premiership has been my dream since I was a kid and I am looking forward to make it come true," Hassan said in an interview with FilGoal.com.

"Some English clubs have opened talks with me but no deal has been reached till now."

But the 'Pharaohs' vice captain didn't identify the interested clubs.

Hassan was instrumental for the Egyptian team that won the African Cup of Nations for a record-fifth time earlier in February.

The Besiktas star scored four goals and was named the tournament's best player by CAF. He was also chosen the best player in polls conducted by FIFA.com and FilGoal.com.

Hassan said that he still has many targets to achieve and playing in the 2010 World Cup is at the top of the list.

"I still have many things to do with the national team like playing in the Confederations Cup next year and in the Ghana 2008 African Cup," he said.

"But the most important thing is playing in the 2010 World Cup. I will be 34 by then but I believe I will be able to captain Egypt in this tournament."
