Ismailia-Yasser Al-Sherif: Ismaili's board of directors decided on Monday to suspend three of the first team's players and issued a warning to other players following the defeat to Al-Gaish in the Egyptian league.

"The board suspended Mohamed Felix, Islam Shoukri and Ahmed Bakri from and demoted them to play with the youth team after losing to Al-Gaish," Ismaili spokesperson Abdul-Rahman Anous told Filgoal.com on Monday.

Ismaili succumbed to a surprise 1-0 loss from Al-Gaish in the local league on Saturday.

The coastal club's board made a number of other decisions to help the team redeem its place as one of Egypt's football powerhouses.

"We issued a severe warning to Ismaili's players after the team became close from the relegation zone," Anous said.

"We also promoted a number of the youth team players to play with the first team in the official matches," he added.

The club also will retract some of the privileges given to the players, including apartments in Ismailia.

Ismaili gave a series of hasty performances this season, which left them in 7th place in the league table on 16 points, only three ahead of last-placed Masri club.

The Ismaili administration, however, along with coach Theo Buecker, did note the hard work of some of the team's veterans including striker Mohamed Mohsen Abou-Greisha.
