Ittihad appealed referee Ahmed Oada's decision to deny their side a goal against Zamalek in the Egyptian League, the Alexandria club said on Monday.

"The referee denied Ittihad a legal goal scored by Cherno Mansaray and awarded Zamalek defender Tamer Abdul-Wahab a free-kick instead," the appeal read.

Ittihad were one down in the first-half when Mansaray found the net after a challenge with Abdul-Wahab. The referee disallowed the goal and Zamalek went on to win 3-0.

However, the club said they pay much respect to the Egyptian refereeing and stressed the appeal was only to highlight their rights.
