Ahli midfielder Mohamed Barakat will miss his side’s African Super Cup tie with Moroccan outfit FAR Rabat, after playing all of Egypt’s matches in the African Cup of Nations (ACN).

“Barakat is suffering from extreme fatigue after playing all of Egypt’s African Cup matches. He is currently undergoing solo training,” Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri told Filgoal.com exclusively on Thursday.

Ahli will host FAR, the African Confederation Cup Champions, in the African Super Cup match that will take place on Friday at the Cairo International Stadium.

“We are ready to play and win the title, despite the fact that a number of our key players will miss the match through injury. Angolan striker Flavio Amadu will start the game alongside Emad Meteb, while Osama Hosni will be on the bench even though his failure to fully recuperate from an injury,” Al-Badri added.

Ahli also lost Wael Gomaa, Mohamed Shawki, Gilberto and Amr Fathi through different injuries.
