Ballack, Guerrero inspire Bayern to 5-2 victory over Eintracht

Michael Ballack and Paolo Guerrero scored two each to lead German champions Bayern Munich crush Eintracht Frankfurt 5-2 at Allianz Arena in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Guerrero opened the score for the Bavarians in the 21st minute before Christoph Preuss equalized in the 32nd minute.

Bayern skipper Ballack grabbed the lead just one minute later and Guerrero added the third three minutes before the interval.

Ballack was on the score sheet again in the 62nd minute before Alexander Meier pulled one back for the visitors in the 84th minute, Claudio Pizarro ensured the win one minute later.

The 100% home wins record for Bayern put them on top of the Bundesliga table with 58 points while Frankfurt lie in 12th spot on 25 points.

Elsewhere, Werder Bremen moved into second place of Bundesliga after beating Borussia Moenchengladbach 2-0.

Bundesliga top scorer Miroslav Klose broke the deadlock in the 16th minute before Ivan Klasnic sealed the victory in the 27th minute.

Bremen raised their points tally to 49 points, Moenchengladbach are in ninth place with 30 points.

In other matches, Wolfsburg edged Hannover 2-1, Schalke beat Nurnberg 2-0, Kaiserslautern defeated Mainz 2-0, Borussia Dortmund lost 1-0 to Arminia Bielefeld and Bayer Leverkusen thrashed Cologne 3-0.
