Ahli board sent in an official complaint to National Youth Council head Hassan Sakr against the Cairo International Stadium officials given the problems aroused during the team’s African Super Cup match against Moroccan club Royal Armed Forces (FAR).

“Ahli’s board send a formal petition to the National Youth Council against Cairo International Stadium head Abdul-Aziz Amin for all the problems we encountered during our Super Cup match on Friday,” an informed club source told Filgoal.com exclusively on Saturday.

The Egyptian powerhouse received their share of the game tickets late, and without their imprinted serial numbers, an aspect which forced the club to the local monetary police to ensure the club’s share of earnings, in addition to preventing the club from celebrating their Best Club award between the two halves.

Ahli will now seek a new venue for their Cairo-derby against rivals Zamalek in the Egyptian league match that will take place on March fourth, despite the hardness of the procedure given the limited time.

“The whole aim behind sending the official complaint is to ensure that these kinds of shameful events doesn’t occur ones again, especially after the failure of the closing ceremony,” the source added.

The Ahli board are scheduled to hold a meeting on Monday to discuss the outcome of sending the petition and deciding on the final venua for the city derby, in addition to deciding on the monetary prizes for the players and coaching staffs’ African Super Cup victory.

A LE 40,000 prize is expected to be allocated for each player and coaching staff member.
