Barcelona qualified to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals after a 1-1 home draw with Chelsea on Tuesday.

The tie lift the Spanish Champions to the last eight with an aggregate score of 3-2 after their stunning win in London two weeks ago.

Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho put the home side in front in the 78th minute while England midfielder Frank Lampard gave Chelsea the honorary draw from the spot.

The first-half was eventless despite Barca's clear domination on the midfield thanks to some magic football from Ronaldinho, Deco and Samuel Eto'o.

Barcelona midfielder Lionel Messi left the game in the first-half with a thigh injury as veteran Swede Henrik Larsson replacing him.

Ronaldinho broke the deadlock as he outpaced three challengers and drilled a low right-footer into the back of the net.

Eto'o almost doubled the lead shortly after when he raced down the left, cut inside the area and curled a low shot but his effort was blocked by the woodwork.

Lampard brought Chelsea level in the dying seconds when he converted home a stinging penalty-kick after captain John Terry was brought down into the area.
