Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard said he was impressed by the quality of Ronaldinho's goal that secured his side's ticket to the quarter-finals in the UEFA Champions League.

"Ronaldinho's goal was spectacular, not only because of the way he made it but also for the high speed he showed," Rijkaard was quoted as saying in Tuesday’s post match press conference.

"Chelsea defended very well and they were very aggressive tough, but he created this opportunity to do something very special. He is a special player."

Ronaldinho gave the Catalans a decisive lead 12 minutes from time when he outpaced three Chelsea challengers and arrow a venomous low shot past goalkeeper Petr Cech before Frank Lampard leveled from the spot.

The Brazilian's goal capped his brilliant efforts through out the match as he marshaled the midfield and fed teammates several times with some pieces of magic.

He also was prolific in the first-leg 2-1 victory, dishing out the assist for the first goal and combining with Henrik Larsson and Samuel Eto'o for the winner.

No Revenge

The Dutch manager stressed again that he wasn't looking for revenge against Chelsea after the Londoners eliminated his side from the same stage last season.

"I don’t believe in Revenge and I don't have anything against Chelsea or their coach whom I respect the work he is doing," Rijkaard said.

Barcelona suffered an early exit last year after losing to Chelsea 5-4 on aggregate in a highly-tensed tie.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho stirred a controversy then, accusing Rijkaard of influencing the referee's decision in Spain through an illegal talk in the tunnel.

"It was very important to go advance in this fantastic tournament. It doesn't matter who we beat as we have to go on."
