Arsenal winger Robert Pires and goalkeeper Manuel Almunia have fully recovered and ready for the UEFA Champions League clash against Real Madrid on Wednesday, coach Arsene Wenger said.

"From the last game we have Robert Pires back in the squad," Wenger told Arsenal's official website on Tuesday.

"Pascal Cygan, Sol Campbell and Robin van Persie are not far. But they are not in the squad. Neither are Gael Clichy and Lauren."

Pires was out with flu while Almunia suffered a hand injury.

The Frenchman, according to Wenger, is likely to start on Wednesday but Almunia will stay on the bench.

Arsenal enter Real match as favorites after their stunning 1-0 away victory courtesy to a brilliant solo effort from captain Thierry Henry.
