Egyptian striker Amr Zaki, who completed a move to Lokomotiv Moscow, said on Thursday he is worried over the freezing weather of the Russian capital.

Zaki told FilGoal.com that he will link up with his new teammates once he arrives to prepare for the Russian League opener against Kryliya Sovetov on Friday.

The former Enppi striker will leave on Thursday night and will pass by Geneva on course to Moscow.

"I am launching a new phase in my career. I wish to shine with Lokomotiv to join a stronger European side in future," Zaki said.

The 23-year-old forward said he learnt a few Russian words to help him communicate when he arrives.

Zaki signed a five-year deal with Lokomotiv earlier in March for some $2 million after helping Egypt win the African Champions League in February.
