The victory placed Zamalek first on 42 points, just one point ahead of arch-rivals Ahli who play Aluminum on Friday. Al-Hodoud remained fifth with 26 points.
Visitors Al-Hodoud were reduced to 10 men five minutes from the stoppage time as Abdul-Salam Nagah was sent-off after collecting his second booking of the game.
Zamalek started in an explosive style and tried to avenge their humiliating 5-0 defeat against Al-Hodoud earlier this season.
But they waited 37 minutes before Eno broke the deadlock with a powerful trade-mark drive that left Al-Hodoud keeper Kameni Maturin helpless.
The Alexandria side looked better in the second-half and came close from leveling the score through substitute Abdul-Hamid Bassiouny whose shot close-range failed to find the net.
