Caps United had played their African Champions League round-of-32 first-leg against Moroccan club Raja Casablanca with two new players from Malawi and failed to register them in the Zimbabwean Football Federation.
With their disqualification, Burundian outfit Inter Stars will make a comeback into the Champions League, where they will face Raja in the first-leg that will take place on April second in Casablanca, and the second-leg that will take place on April ninth in Bujumbura.
Caps suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Moroccan giants in the first-leg that will be cancelled.
CAF also decided to disqualify DR Congolese side Mazembe from the African Confederation Cup after missing their first-leg against Tanzanian club Moro United after arriving late at the venue.
Moro United automatically qualified to the competition round-of-16 after the African football governing body snubbed Mazembe officials’ excuses regarding their late arrival to play the first-leg.
