The German international keeper compared Arsenal's style of play to Chelsea's unattractive one.
"Our way of working is clearly more attractive. Fans struggle to identify with Chelsea. They are a sort of artificial product," Lehmann was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
"Their way of doing things works but they don't play such attractive football. At Arsenal, in that sense, we are a step ahead of them," he added.
Since Russian billionaire Roman Abramovic owned Chelsea in the summer of 2003, his account was open to secure the services of any player across different continents.
Abramovic's policy, along with coach Jose Mourinho's arrival, handed Chelsea their first league title in 50 years and they are on the brink of retaining it as they are seven points clear at the top of Premiership table.
