Zamalek will submit an official complaint against referee Kamel Mohamed who officiated their match with Koroum in the local league, club Secretary General Essam Bahig said.

"Kamel's mistakes caused our draw with Koroum, especially after he overlooked awarding the team two penalty-kicks," Bahig told reporters on Saturday.

Zamalek title hopes faded on Friday when they were held to a 1-1 draw with struggling Koroum to lose more ground to Ahli.

The home side protested the referee's decisions on more than one occasion especially in the dying seconds when midfielder Yousef Hamdi seemed to be clipped inside the area.

Bahig insisted that Zamalek was taking the action to ensure that such mistakes won't be repeated in the upcoming encounters.

On the other hand, the Egyptian Council for Sports started carrying out the Supreme Court's decision to dissolve the ongoing Zamalek board, in favor for former president Mortada Mansour.

The Zamalek board will have to allocate nine new members after the original nine resigned before the board dissolved, until holding the general assembly for elections in December.
