Mortada Mansour said he will grant the Egyptian High Council of Sports (HCS) until Thursday to implement the court's ruling to reinstate him as Zamalek president.

Mansour told reporters that he will be forced to take legal action, or otherwise, if HCS president Hassan Saqr does not complete his transition into office after the court ruled in favor of his return to office.

The HCS had postponed its decision to reinstate former Zamalek president Mansour and his impeached board of directors until it was legally reviewed.

The problem had ignited late last year when former Youth Minister Mamdouh Al-Beltagi dissolved Mansour's board and appointed an interim administration presided by Morsi Attalla.

Mansour, an attorney, responded through legal action and was supposed to return to his office on Sunday after the Cairo Administrative Court ruled in his favor.

The HCS issued a statement noting they received the court's ruling but will postpone taking any action until further research in the matter at hand and that an appeal has been presented to the Supreme Administrative Court.

HCS president Saqr said the Supreme Court's ruling, regarding the appeal, was due in three days and if it is accepted Mansour's return will be demobilized.

On the other hand, Saqr came under fire during the Egyptian parliamentary session for his delay in resolving the issue.

Saqr responded by stating that his main objective was to restore calm in Zamalek and study the issue to ensure the legality of the procedures before taking any action.
