Sarmady Communications CEO Con O'Donnell presents Hosni with FilGoal's African Champions scarf.
FilGoal.com hosted Ahli forward Osama Hosni in a forum during which the Egypt international player answered questions from both the FilGoal editorial team and registered members.

Hosni is the first of many players who will be visiting the FilGoal headquarters to interact with the members online and answer questions that are of interest to their fans.

FilGoal's editorial staff that conducted the interview included: Osama Khairy, Ahmed Maher, Ahmed Nabil, and Mohamed Sabe.

Below is the interview with Hosni, which includes questions from both FilGoal team and FilGoal members:

FilGoal team: Your true beginning was against Olympic Alexandria when you scored after a beautiful assist from then Ahli captain Walid Salaheddin, tell us about that goal.

Hosni: It was a game in the Egypt Cup, under Dutch coach Joe Bonfrere, and the team was suffering from numerous injuries within its ranks while I was still playing for Ahli's youth team.

I was called up for the match but to play in the defending midfielder role, and so I did even though I'm a striker, but I had to jump on the opportunity.

After the break, assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri played me up front and Salaheddin promised me he'll do his best to help me score, and he kept trying to do so throughout the second-half until he set me up for a great goal.

FilGoal member: What is your favorite position, striker or offensive midfielder?

Hosni: I began my career playing in midfield, but for the past two years Ahli coaches have been playing me up front as a striker, so I got used to the position.

FilGoal member: What is the best goal you scored and what is the easiest chance you squandered?

Hosni: My best goal was against Ittihad Alexandria last season in Ahli's 4-0 win. And the chance that I regret wasting was against Zamalek in the match that saw Ahmed Al-Sayed get red carded.

FilGoal member: How is your relationship with coach Manuel Jose?

Hosni: Contrary to what people may think, coach Jose and I have a very good relationship.

FilGoal member: Would you consider a move to Zamalek if coach Manuel Jose continues to bench you?

Hosni: Honestly, I'd rather stay with Ahli and be benched than move to Zamalek.

FilGoal member: Do you feel over shadowed by Flavio's presence in Ahli even though he didn't live up to expectations until now?

Hosni: Of course, but not only with Flavio, but with all the foreign strikers that came to Ahli. I think it's because I'm not a problem maker that I get stepped on.

But in all fairness, Flavio is improving, he does well in practice, his only problem is that he is not scoring.

FilGoal member: How is it that you score mostly with your head even though you're not a tall player?

Hosni: It has nothing to do with height. It's all about anticipation, launching myself well to meet the ball, and precision in the finish.

FilGoal member: Why don't we see you smile on the field like your teammate Mohamed Abou-Treika?

Hosni: I like to smile actually, but lately I've been playing while injured and that has really affected me.

FilGoal member: Ahli's top scorers this season are midfielders Abou-Treika, Mohamed Barakat and defender
