Egypt and Tottenham Hotspurs striker Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' said his team should secure maximum points of the remaining Premiership home games to finish in the top four.

"Of course, in home games you have more options to win and you can play more attacking football," Mido told the club's website.

"The crowd plays a big role, they have been very good to us and will maybe need to be a little bit patient."

With five matches to go, Tottenham play title-hopefuls Manchester United and Bolton at White Hart Lane and face Everton, West Ham and close challengers Arsenal on the road.

Mido's side struggle to snatch fourth spot that qualifies to the UEFA Champions League next season.

They hold on to fourth place on 58 points, four ahead of fifth Birmingham and five clear of Arsenal who are sixth but still have one match in hand.

But the 23-year-old international also highlighted the importance of away victories in Tottenham's campaign.

"Every game, home or away, is important and in every game we play to win. We hope we can do everything right to keep our position," he said.
