Cairo powerhouse Zamalek travel to face Asyut Cement on Wednesday in a quest for stability after president Mortada Mansour restored in office.

Zamalek are looking to regain their winning ways after slipping to a 1-1 draw against Koroum that ended their three-game winning streak.

Wednesday's match also serves as a crossroad for Zamalek, whose title chances although dim, depend on winning in order to stay on the tail of runaway leaders Ahli.

Zamalek's hardships are compounded by the absence of pivotal defenders Mahmoud Mahmoud and Mohamed Sedik through suspension and Ibrahim Saied through a questionable injury while Wael Al-Qabani remains doubtful for the game.

Coach Manuel Cajuda maybe forced to play midfielder Moetaz Mohamed "Eno" out back alongside veteran defender Medhat Abdul-Hadi who is returning from injury.

Up front, Mostafa Gaafar is expected to pair up with Abdul-Halim Ali given the recent dip of form that skipper Hazem Emam is suffering from.

Meanwhile, hosts Asyut Cement will be looking to take advantage of Zamalek's latest downfall, their numerous absences and transitional period to register their first win since beating Harras Al-Hodoud 2-1 in the ninth round of the competition.

The hosts have received a strong boost upon the return of strikers Minusu Buba and Yazid Denoua.

Asyut hold tenth place in the league table with 18 points and Zamalek are in second spot on 46 points.
