Ali told reporters on Saturday that Asyut's final training session will determine whether he can play midfielders Ali Ashour and Gamal Abdellah out back to fill the void.
The Asyut manager has already decided to play Frenchman Yazid Denoua as a defender if he recovers from the injury he picked up against Zamalek last week.
Asyut will be missing five starters, including three defenders, against Ahli.
Defenders Emad Osman, Mohamed Awad and Hamdi Saif Al-Nassr all picked up their second yellow card in the 3-2 loss to Zamalek while midfielders Ahmed Sedik and Reda Ragab were sent-off.
Midfielders Walid Al-Sayed and Sayed Amer will return to Asyut's squad after recovering from injury.
Asyut Cement currently hold 13th place in the league table on 18 points.
