Alexandria – Hani El-Awadi: Ittihad Alexandria boss Talaat Youssef included four injured players in his squad for their first-leg against Tunisian outfit Esperance in the African Confederation Cup round of 16 that will take place on Friday.

“Youssef included Hussein Fahmi, Cherno Mansaray, Anwar Shaloufa and Rami Saied to the squad and hoped they would recuperate in time to catch the match,” Ittihad delegation head Mohamed Moselhi told FilGoal.com exclusively on Tuesday.

“The delegation, which includes 45 members, 20 of which are players,, will leave Egypt on Wednesday. We will start training on Thursday and will return on Sunday,” he added.

On the other hand, the Ittihad head coach revealed that he will implement a defensive strategy in their highly-anticipated match to make-up for the difference between them and Esperance in terms of speed.

“Esperance outrun us easily, that’s why we’ll adopt an adoptive strategy and will try to tighten up the spaces in the field to make-up for the difference,” Youssef told FilGoal.com.

The Squad:

Goalkeepers: Samir Ashour, Al-Hani Soliman, Youssef Taher

Defenders: Mohamed Youssef, Youssef Abdel-Rahim, Ahmed Saleh, Hossam Abdel-Menem

Midfielders: Ibrahim Al-Shayeb, Khamis Gaafar, Ghareeb Fathy, Omar Islam
