Zamalek manager Manuel Cajuda said his side can beat Ahli on Sunday and hold on to their slim hope of winning the Egyptian League.

"I admit that Ahli are favorites to win the title," the Portuguese coach was quoted as saying by Egyptian paper Al-Masry Al-Youm on Saturday.

"But there is no impossible in football. Winning the Cairo derby could be our way back to the title race."

Second-place Zamalek are eight points adrift of Ahli who are just two points away from retaining their title with three matches to go.

To snatch the title, Zamalek need to win their remaining games and wait for Harras Al-Hodoud and Ismaili to defeat Ahli in what could be the biggest upset in the Egyptian League history.

Cajuda, who led Zamalek to a goalless draw against Ahli in his first match in charge, said his side will be totally different from how they appeared in the first half of the season.

"Now, I know every single detail about my team and about Ahli as well. This will make a big difference in tomorrow's clash," he said.
