Saudi Arabia registered a 1-0 friendly victory over Togo in Holland to snap the recent losing streak in their warm-up games for the World Cup.

Malik Moaaz, who plays for Ahli Jeddah, slotted home just four minutes from time to mark his international debut on Sunday.

Saudi Arabia lost four friendlies against Lebanon, Portugal, Poland and Belgium. They tied Sweden, Finland, Greece, Syria and Iraq.

The hard-fought victory was also the first under Brazilian coach Marcos Paqueta, who took charge after the qualifiers.

Saudi Arabia play in Group H in the World Cup alongside Spain, Ukraine and Tunisia.
