The Champions League final will be staged on Wednesday at the Stade de France in Paris, a city where Ronaldinho started to attract worldwide attention during his spell with Paris St. Germain.
"It's special to return to a city that I love, I am very happy and very proud," Ronaldinho was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.com on Sunday.
"It was in Paris where I began my European career and to be able to play a Champions League final there, and perhaps win, motivates me even more."
The FIFA Footballer of the Year made the move from Brazilian club Gremio to Paris Saint Germain in 2001 where he became the fans' favorite scoring 20 goals in two seasons.
Arsenal clash in Ronaldinho's first Champions League final ever and he said the whole Barca team are ready for the challenge.
"The team is focused and we are all on the same wavelength, thinking about the same thing, Wednesday's final as we have been training very hard in order not to come up against any surprises," Ronaldinho said.
"We will not change our style of play, we will try to do what we always do which is playing our normal game and try to score goals."
However, the Brazilian refused to underestimate the Londoners, stressing it will be a tough encounter.
"I fear Arsenal's team as a whole, we will have to be careful of every single player and not just Thierry Henry," he said.
"They are also very strong defensively and we have to respect the very good team they have."
