"We deserved to win the league for the second successive season, we were the best throughout the campaign," Jose told a press conference after Sunday's match.
Ahli cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Zamalek to grab their second successive Egyptian league title.
Jose's side scored an early brace through Emad Meteb and Mohamed Abou-Treika to bag their 66th point and secure the 31st overall Egyptian league title.
"The players followed by instructions, they took advantage of Zamalek's defensive mistakes so we scored two early goals that killed off the match," the Portuguese coach said.
Ahli's board of directors has decided to reward the players with a maximum of EGP 60,000 each depending on their appearances.
Egypt keeper Essam Al-Hadari and defender Emad Al-Nahhas will earn the highest fee as they played in all matches this season.
