Zamalek midfielder Tarek Al-Saied insisted that he has yet to complete his move to Ahli, but admitted that the negotiations were nearing finalization.

“I have yet to sign any contracts with Ahli,” Al-Saied told FilGoal.com exclusively on Tuesday.

Al-Saied, who said that Ahli wanted him to join them by the beginning of next season, revealed that he doesn’t know why Zamalek didn’t offer him an extension, despite the fact that his contract with the club expires by the end of the season.

“Zamalek is where I grew up, that’s why I’ll await an offer from them until the last minute,” Al-Saied insisted.

Rumors about the talented midfielder’s move to Zamalek city rivals Ahli surfaced in the Egyptian media during the last few days, fueled by the fact that the club didn’t offer Al-Saied an extension contract until now.
