Masri guaranteed a spot in next season’s Egyptian league after beating Arab Contractors 2-1 in the round-25 match that took place on Thursday.

Masri have Mohamed Fadl to thank for providing them with the place after netting in a brace, the first from a spot-kick in the 83rd minute and a 90th minute goal.

The Port Said-based club hold eighth place in the league standings with a tally of 28 points, while Arab Contractors come 10th with 25 points, with only one match to go against Ittihad Alexandria next week.

Elsewhere, Ghazl Mahalla defeated Koroum 1-0 thanks to a Ahmed Al-Mohamadi goal in the fifth minute.

Koroum relegated to the second division after placing last with a tally of 20 points, while Mahalla maintain their place in the first division after placing ninth with 27 points.

Both Aluminum and Asyut Cement increased their worries of relegating to the second division after reaching a goalless draw.

Aluminum come 11th with a tally of 25 points, while Asyut Cement come second to last with 23 points.

Suez Cement are also in a tight spot after holding Ittihad Alexandria to a 1-1 draw, which means that they have no other alternative but to win struggling Aluminum next week.

Suez Cement come 12th in the league standings with a tally of 25 points, while Ittihad Alexandria hold seventh place with 32 points.

On the other hand Enppi guaranteed to finish third in the Egyptian league after holding Ismaili to a 2-2 draw.

Ahmed Abdel-Zaher and Magdi Abdel-Atti put Enppi up front through a minute-five goal and a spot-kick in the 33rd minute, before Ismaili pulled two back to equalize through Abdullah Saied and Mohamed Salah Abou-Greisha.

Enppi hold third place with a tally of 43 points, which qualifies them to the African Confederation Cup, while Ismaili come fourth with 39 points.
