Zamalek boss Manuel Cajuda insisted their defeat in front of Masri in their final game of the season had nothing to do with his coaching or any technicalities.

"The problems we were facing lately were the reasons behind our defeat, as Masri threatened our goal only once throughout the game," Cajuda told FilGoal.com exclusively on Tuesday.

Zamalek lost 1-0 to Masri on Monday in the final round of the Egyptian premier league.

"The lack of stability is the reason behind our negative results and performances, and I don’t expect the team to win the Egyptian Cup for all the same reasons," Cajuda added.

Zamalek finished second with 58 points in the Egyptian League table, 14 points behind Ahli who were crowned champions two weeks before the end of the season.
